Established in 1971, the Department of Psychology at the University of Rajasthan has steadily grown into a leading centre for teaching, training, and research in psychology. The department offers a wide range of academic programs, including Ph.D. specializations across diverse fields such as Clinical, Social, Cognitive, Developmental, Counselling, Industrial & Organizational, Positive, Gender, Environmental, and Indian Psychology. In addition, it runs M.A./M.Sc. in Psychology and a Post-Graduate Diploma in Guidance and Counselling, providing comprehensive training that balances theoretical knowledge with practical applications.
State-of-the-art facilities in the department, including a computer lab, psychometric testing laboratory, and a relaxation room, support both research and student learning. The department also houses a dedicated Psychological Counselling Cell, which offers free counselling services to students and staff of the university.
